Making Money on the internet does not require a lot of investments. All you need is the right business model and traffic. Do not believe someone who is going to sell you some book or techniques that is going to make you millions. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. An internet business is simple but it is definitely not easy and requires a lot of hard work in the early phase of your business when you are building your traffic.
I will not go into what products or services you can sell online as the possibilies are limitless but I will instead focus on 4 main parts of a net business.
1. Website hosting
You can start off with a free website like webs.com or using wordpress, blogger but if you eventually want your clients to take you seriously, your business need to have its own domain. Domain name registration are renewable every year and beside domain name you also need someone to host your website for you. . A website hosting company is one that has a commputer connected to the internet 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The computer is generally faster and has more memory than the computer you are using now. The hosting company gives or sells you space on their computer and you in turn put your files in a directory that is designated. The web server computer then publish your website onto the World Wide Web and you are online. My opinion is you get a web hosting company that you can access easily when problems arises with your site.
2.credit card processing
Paypal is one company that will process your credit card payment for you. Another one is clickbank which will mail you a check. Whichever you choose, you should have credit card processing on your site for the long term. It helps a lot in letting your website look professional.
3.Your supply source
If you are selling products, ensure not only that your source is reliable but also allows you sufficient margin. The internet makes all sort of information available and customers can check up on competitors prices easily. If your prices are not competitve, it is difficult to survive.
4. traffic generator
You might have heard of SEO or search engine optimisation. These are methods to make your site rank higher on a search engine everytime your keyword is searched. NO. I do not recommend you spend a lot of money right from the start on SEO products or software. Instead check out what google have to say in this book

My views on being an agent
Alternatively, many youngsters nowadays have chosen to be an agent be it in the financial advisory or real estate field. In fact you can be an agent in many many industries but these two are in the limelight as they have the lowest barrier to entry. For example, you can also be an agent for jobs but regulations stipulate that you need to have S$20,000 in banker guarantee to operate a job agency.
Regardless of whatever field you chose to go into, you are a professional in the field and need to get the respect of your customers if you are going to achieve real success. Look at the top earners, they are usually the top earners, the top 10-20% of the group, THE TOP GUNS. Set yourself up for success in areas that you have indepth knowledge and avoid areas that are supersaturated. However the choice is yours. You can still do well as long as you work harder.

My Views on network marketing
You might have heard of similar terms like Multi-level marketing(MLM), Single level marketing or Pyramid Marketing. Network Marketing is a general term and refers to marketing of goods and services directly to customers through word of mouth and relationship referrals. The referrer are then paid a commission or referral fees for every sale done.
MLM, SLM, Pyramid are all forms of network marketing. Pyramid marketing is banned in most countries and is seen as an outright scam. MLM, SLM are legal and is allowed to operate in Singapore. There could be other forms and names but the essence is the same.
Before you decide to join an network marketing company, check out the following 12 criteria needed for MLM success.
1. Track record

My views on Home Business
If you cannot find a job or are discriminated against due to age, or placed under home quarantine ;P, having a home business is a viable option.
Managing a home business doesn't mean that you are going to have a stress free life. The truth is you no longer have bosses to drive you crazy or chase after you for targets but you also no longer have bosses to give you your paycheck. In other words, you write your own paycheck.
Be aware that there are many undesirable characters out there waiting to exploit your eagerness and drive to be financially free. My advice is to avoid the following scams:
-Envelope stuffing
-Manual stapling
-Craft assembly
-Email Processing
-chain letters
A genuine Home business just like any other business have to create value or solve problems for others through your products and/or services. It might take the following forms
a)Services to individuals and firms
b)Manufacture or sale of products
c)mail order
d)Sale of personal skills
If you cannot decide on what type of products or services you can sell or provide, try searching out the yellow pages and get some ideas.
Ensure your think through the following aspects:
-profit potential/margin
-Need for business/demand for services
-capital required/cost
-Experience needed/cerification required
but knowing what to do is not enough. Do it!
